Blogging is easy

I'm finally starting a blog. I used to think it'd be really hard to do, but then I noticed all these people with blogs who aren't even smarter than I am. So...I decided to invest the two and a half minutes on figuring out how to start one of these things.

A Bio: I grew up in Wisconsin and joined the Mormon church after I went to college. I served a two year mission in Boise Idaho starting a couple of years after. When I got home, I finished a bachelor's degree in applied math at BYU-Idaho. I'm now in the master's of statistics program at BYU in Provo.

I've been studying to be an actuary for quite awhile. I've passed two actuarial exams and completed two actuarial internships. The first internship was with AIG in Alpharetta, Georgia. The second was in Paris, France with Mercer. I'm studying for the third actuarial exam right now. I'm in love with the material on mathematical finance.

This coming semester I am taking a course in Mathematical Finance, modern regression methods, and mathematical statistics. I expect I will get beat up this semester just like last semester.
